One of the most active and visible committees within the Chamber, the Ambassador's Club is a group of active Chamber representatives dedicated to recruiting new members and helping existing ones maximize their membership benefits through volunteer, relationship building, and professional development opportunities.
As a vital part of Chamber public relations, Ambassadors volunteer their time to help insure that Chamber events run smoothly and that the organization's membership remains strong and well informed. Ambassadors can usually be seen assisting at various Grundy County Chamber events such as Business After Hours, Wine Tasting, Golf Outing, Home & Health Expo and Chamber Luncheons.
As some of the Chamber's top liaisons to membership, our Ambassadors play a vital role in member retention, recruitment, and communication. Each Ambassador has made a commitment to addressing member needs through information and support, and to ensuring that questions or concerns are heard by the Grundy County Chamber Staff and Board.
The efforts of the Ambassadors help to keep the Chamber in tune with its membership. Through member feedback, the Ambassadors help shape the type of programs and services provided by the Chamber.
Participation as an Ambassador provides the volunteer with extended business contacts through active association with other volunteers and members, professional and community recognition for both the volunteer and their business, as well as expanded communication and marketing skills.
The Ambassador's Club meets regularly on the second Friday of every month at 3:30.
Terri Gilmoure believes it's important to support our community, our businesses, and our organizations. She sees the Chamber as a great way to stay in touch with various businesses - to be involved in their celebrations and help support them in their downtimes.
Throughout the year, you will find Terri greeting others at a Chamber function, serving on an event committee, presenting information to recently dislocated workers, as well as helping us paint and landscape the Chamber building - because where ever a helping hand is needed, Terri is always there.
Terri also serves on the Board of Morris Hospital Foundation, chairing the Development Committee & serving on Executive/Finance Committee. In addition, she is a member of the Intentional Giving Team, a sub-group of the Community Foundation of Grundy County.
As an agent with Country Financial for 27 years, Terri is a member of the National Ethics Bureau, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants,
Terri personifies exactly what a Chamber Ambassador should be. Congratulations and THANK YOU!
