HOME & HEALTH EXPO
The annual Expo showcases Grundy business and community services to over 1,700 people of all ages, and is the only event of its kind in the area. Information and freebies from over 70 home and health vendors is available at the event. Consumers can find information on anything from how to insure their new home to the newest technology and services provided by local healthcare centers. The Expo added a job component to the fair by allowing vendors to display employment vacancies, provide applications and even conduct on-site interviews. The expo is a simple way for job-seekers to connect with hiring businesses in person, and is an extremely valuable resource in today’s economy.
Families are encouraged to attend the expo, as several family-friendly entertainment acts are scheduled to perform throughout the day and there is a dedicated Kid’s Activities Center that provides fun for children of all ages.
WOMEN'S POWER SYMPOSIUM
Women’s Power Symposium is a multi-faceted event led by powerful women leaders from across Illinois in keynote presentations to Empower, Motivate and Activate women from across Illinois. The Symposium includes interactive sessions and an EXPO where attendees have access to services and products that support women in embracing their true leadership potential. Empower yourself. Empower your career. Empower your life. Attendees learn new skills and are entertained by a variety of keynote speakers including new referral and connection resources, advertising specialists, social media gurus along with legal and business experts providing common-sense marketing, and motivational stories from power women who have reached success!
CHANNAHON MINOOKA COMMUNITY SHOWCASE
The smell of popcorn, the sound of raffle tickets being stuffed in drawing boxes and a sea of logo’d items can only mean one thing… it must be the Chamber’s annual Showcase! Over 70 businesses and organizations participate in this event which is held at the local High School. Crowds remain at a comfortable level allowing vendors to engage in conversations with attendees about their products and services. As a result, several vendors have leads and will spend the next few weeks scheduling follow-up visits.
Attendees are treated to messages, practiced their putting skills, registered for drawings and sampled a variety of sweets & snacks. They listen for their name to be drawn for the many door prizes throughout the day and left with bags of goodies.

Something for Everyone!
Ever wonder where you could learn about investing your money, talk to someone about employment opportunities and get some ideas on landscaping – all in one place? The Chamber offers this service through our Expo and Showcase! These events provide an opportunity for area businesses and organizations to get together in one location, and in a short period of time, promote their goods and services to a large number of prospective customers.
Each event is designed to help area newcomers as well as long-time residents learn more about the programs and services available in the area in a fun and festive environment. The day includes displays, entertainment, raffles, refreshments and activities for all ages.
