Caroline Portlock, PHR, IOM / Executive Director

Caroline Portlock was named Executive Director in August 2003 and holds a bachelor's degree in organizational development and a master's in business administration from the University of St. Francis. She earned her PHR designation from the Society of Human Resource Management in 2002 and her Institute for Organizational Management (IOM) designation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in 2008 at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her background includes business development, public relations, marketing, human resources and organizational development for various industries including social service and hospitality. In addition to a number of boards and committees throughout the region, Caroline serves on the Advisory Council for the United Way of Grundy County, and as Board Chair for the Grundy Livingston Kankakee Workforce Investment Board.

Sarah Peterson / Events Director

Sarah Peterson has been with the Chamber since 2007; first in the role of Membership Director and now as Events Director. Before joining the Grundy County Chamber, she earned her Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology from Saint Joseph's College (Indiana) and spent many years in corporate human resources. In her spare time, Sarah can be found behind the lens of a camera and volunteering for the following organizations: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Greyhound's Only, Illinois Federation of Business & Professional Women & University of Illinois Extension.

Corrine Wienke / Office Assistant Minooka Office

A resident of Channahon, Corrine is very involved with the Minooka Youth Boosters and served as Treasurer for the Channahon Youth Boosters for several years. She assists with the Booster’s fundraising efforts including the golf outing and spirit wear. Corrine has also assisted several Chamber members in promoting their businesses at local events.

Mary Ann Kilbride / Office Assistant Coal City Office

Mary Ann Kilbride is originally from South Wilmington and a current resident of Coal City. She retired from the Grundy County Highway Dept after 20 years of service but has certainly stayed active in the community. Mary Ann is a member of the Restoration Advisor Board-the group involved with the environmental cleanup of the Joliet Army Ammunition Plant and recently received recognition for her efforts at the cleanup completion ceremony. In addition, Mary Ann volunteers at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery for the Thursday Memorial Squad who folds and presents the flag. She also volunteers for Grundy Community Volunteer Hospice. She has two daughters and four grandchildren.

Peg Berta / Administrative Assistant

Peg Berta has been the Administrative Assistant at the Chamber since 2001. Prior to the Chamber Peg was the Office Manager at a horticulture products business in Seneca. Outside of the business day, Peg sits on the Board for the Seneca Regional Port District, the Seneca/Marseilles Chamber and a former board member of the Seneca Public Library. She tries to help with many village and church events as time allows and enjoys bicycling, reading any sports activities, antiques and spending time with family and friends.
